Not Bates' favourite topic.. but having just read on the BBC site about the £40m transfer kitty being handed over in January,.. I think Villa and a few other teams should start to worry.

£40m isnt going to fix them

They are a well drilled unit and it is getting them tight draws and wins

they have a long long way to go before they have the quality to be a top 8 premier league side

Remember that Villa have spent a lot more than £40m just to stand still in this league

I'm not worried, we're a good step ahead of them, I can't see them testing the likes of tottenham, Man City and Arsenal, like we have. They'd have to fight a long hard battle to clinch a Europa spot aswell as the others.
